Acupuncture & Nutrition Supports Fertility & Pregnancy
For many couples and individuals this is not a straightforward or an easy process. Getting pregnant and starting a family can take a bit longer than intended and require additional support. Fertility Support Acupuncture is effective at supporting fertility and achieving a healthy pregnancy.
Treatment involves a blend of Acupuncture and Functional Nutrition to investigate and target the causes of unexplained infertility, failed implantation and repeat miscarriage. I specialise in supporting women and men move forward on their fertility journey and route to parenthood.
Natural Conception
The broad area of Unexplained Infertility is addressed. Acupuncture increases Natural Fertility by promoting blood flow to the uterus and supporting ovarian development. Acupuncture also regulates menstrual dysfunction and supports hormone balance which helps to minimise symptoms of conditions including PCOS and Endometriosis which can prevent conception.
Functional Testing is used to investigate hormone levels, vaginal health and identify imbalances and potential nutrient deficiencies. I provide tailored advice on Diet, Lifestyle and Supplements to optimise your fertility levels, support successful conception and a healthy pregnancy.
Assisted Conception
Acupuncture supports couples during assisted conception treatments including IUI, IVF & ICSI. My Advanced Fertility Support training allows me to support couples and individuals with a history of multiple failed implantations and reproductive immunology issues which are preventing conception, implantation and a healthy pregnancy.
In the 3 months preceding fertility treatment, prioritising sperm and egg health is essential. I’ll support both you and your partner to ensure your bodies are nourished with the vital nutrients for a healthy pregnancy and your baby’s well-being. When necessary, advanced fertility investigations and treatments are available to address potential barriers on your journey to parenthood.
Male Fertility
Acupuncture can improve sperm count and sperm motility. The life cycle of sperm is around 90 days. I work to create the optimal environment for sperm production and development. The focus of treatment is to reduce stress or pain levels, and promote diet and lifestyle factors which have all be shown to improve sperm quality.
Advanced male fertility tests are used to identify barriers to pregnancy including Sperm DNA Fragmentation, Advanced hormone profiles, Anti-sperm antibodies and Genetic testing. Functional nutrition is integrated into treatment to maximise sperm quality and overall health.
Pregnancy Support
Acupuncture supports pregnancy and reduces pregnancy complications. I work with women during each stage of pregnancy. This ranges from treating early stage morning sickness and tiredness to late stage back pain, sciatica and indigestion. I also work to support the final stage for birth preparation, breech presentation and labour induction.
I guide patients to know which key nutrients are pivotal for a healthy pregnancy and a thriving baby. These nutrients act as building blocks for your baby’s development and contribute to the well-being of both mother and child. I will support you through pregnancy and the birthing process ensuring health for mother and baby.
